WHAT IS KGLW?

In a world where messages may be clouded by obfuscation, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard is about as subtle as a brick thrown through Rupert Murdoch's window. KGLW is an Aussie group featuring:
Stu Mackenzie - vox, guitar, flute
Ambrose Kenny-Smith - vox, harmonica, keyboard, sax
Cook Craig - vox, keyboard, guitar
Joey Walker - vox, guitar
Lucas Harwood - vox, bass
Michael Cavanagh - vox, drums
KGLW is a near-universal band covering genres such as rock with Nonagon Infinity or PetroDragonic Apocalypse, punk with Infest The Rats' Nest, or psychedelic with Float Along or Polygondwanaland.

A BRIEF HISTORY OF GIZZ

KGLW was formed in 2010 in Melbourne, victoria. Their early tracks blended garage rock, surf music, and psychedelic rock, and later expanding into multiple other genres in the later 2010s. Mainstream attention was nabbed by Nonagon Infinity which won an award from the Australian Recording Industry Association! In their years, KGLW has put out more than 20 original albums...

NONAGON INFINITY OPENS THE DOOR

Nine sides, nine corners, nine songs. Nonagon Infinity speaks of brains in metal, insects in throats, and vultures fighting for immortality against those previously seen on Power Rangers. Each song leads into the next, with the last looping back to the first. -

POLYGONDWANALAND IS FULL OF DINOSAURS

A crumbling castle, a league of explorers, seditious bands, and eyes beyond blue -

THE YAVAPAI CALL HIM EYES LIKE THE SKY

This one's more like an audiobook with a soundtrack than a normal music album, detailing the story of a young boy, Miguel O'Brien, around and during the civil war. The boy was 5 years old when he was taken by the natives of america, specifically the Yavapai Apache, and was raised to fight for their survival.

THE SILVER CHORD, A GLOWING THREAD

Religious techno is a combo that not many will consider, but this album combines the angelic heaven and the scientific low-earth-orbit. -

OMNIUM GATHERUM, GATHERING OF EVERYTHING

This one's a bit hard to catagorize. Omnium Gatherum is a mix of different genres -

FISHING FOR FISHIES DON'T MAKE THEM FEEL HAPPY

INFEST THE RATS' NEST, FOR THERE IS NO PLANET B

MURDER OF THE UNIVERSE, THE ALTERED ALBUM

Do you like poetry? Do you like loud music about a monster that propogates through those who kill it, or a battle between gods, or a robot that likes to throw up? -
